One of the highlights in February at Larchwood Primary School was its very first 'Come Dine with Me' event. Over 40 parents and carers joined their Year 1 child for a school cooked lunch, with the usual delicious menu on offer.

Feedback from parents and carers was really positive and the school is looking forward to hosting the next 'Come Dine with Me' events for Year 2 and Reception parents and carers, who are also invited to join their children for lunch in the coming weeks.

As reported in the Brentwood Gazette, Headteacher, Steve Bowsher, said of the event: "Along with our caterers, we are keen to raise awareness of the food children are eating at our school. We want to encourage more pupils to have school dinners with us as they are a healthy choice. It's important to make parents aware of what children could have at school."
